Sports Photos

We travelled to Blackwater today for Ben's soccer carnival. He played really well, probably the best he has ever played!!! He ran all day and did awesome defending!! They did not win any of their games, but they certainly tried hard. Ben got Player of the Day for his Clermont team. He is pretty chuffed about that!!

Recently the kid's school held their sports carnival. They both enjoyed it, and gave their all.

This is the first year for the High Jump, Long Jump and Shot Put for Megan, as they only do these events when they get to Year 4. She also went in the 100m and 200m, also in the ball games.

Ben only had the 75m sprint, tabloid games and ball games. Being in Grade 2 they are fairly restricted on their events.

I was working in the recording tent, so didn't manage to get too many photos, however Michael called in while he was working and took some.

New Sketch Up at Crafty Sketches

Millie has designed the new sketch for 1 June at Crafty Sketches. She has done a great job. Why not create your layout and email it in for a chance to win a great prize.

This is the layout I created based on Millie's sketch. It is about my daughter's recent 9th birthday. For something a bit different I got Megan to do the journalling, so she can look back in years to come and see what her hand writing was like.

Battle to Victory

Nearly 2 weeks ago my brother in law Dean, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After 13 years since successful treatment for a brain tumour at the age of 28, it was a shock for all of us to receive this diagnosis. Needless to say, it was a huge shock for Dean, Lea and their teenange children Amy and Billy. After initially being floored by the diagnosis, they have picked themselves up and are now battling this disease. They have started a blog about this battle called http://deansbattle.blogspot.com/ Please join in the battle for Dean's and his family's quality and quantity of life. We are all right there with you Dean and Lea and family!!!!

Whew!!! Back to reality.......

Wow!! The last couple of weeks have been like a cyclone - busy, hectic and go, go,go!!!

I arrived home yesterday from a fantastic week end at the Scrap With V retreat. It was a wonderful week end at the Shearwater Resort at Kings Beach, Caloundra. A fantastic location. The company was awesome, with lots of laughs, good times and serious scrapping. Thank you so much to Ness, Lynne and Millie for all of your organising, hard work and dedication to our wonderful craft and to all of us who went to the retreat. Ness, we all totally loved the beautiful pressies and goodies, and being able to browse and spend up in the shop. Lea (one of my sisters) also came to the retreat, and it was a great break away for her as her husband is about to start chemo end of this week for a brain tumour. My children stayed with my mum, and my hubby went in and stayed with Lea's hubby to make sure he was okay while Lea was away.

Last week, we had the Clermont Show. I took on the role of Pavilion Steward this year. It was VERY busy organising for several weeks and then working at the Show. However, all seemed to go quite smoothly. There will be a few minor changes for next years Show.

So now everything in my immediate life has settled down a bit, and on with the norm.
