Big Week End

Well, we have had a very sports orientated week end. It has been very successful for the kids.

Yesterday morning was the Junior Golf Club Championship. Both kids played really well. Megan was the Gross Winner for her division - she won a gorgeous bronzed statue of the golf ball playing golf - very cute!! Ben got runner up to her, and got the same trophy as her but a tad smaller.

Today, was the round robin Netball Carnival. Megan's team made it into the Grand Final. Ben's Net Set Go team played a curtain raiser to the GF. He scored a point. Then Megan's team won the GF!!!!!!!! At trophy presentations afterwards, Ben got a trophy for participating in Net Set Go for the year, Megan got a medallion for winning the GF, a trophy for participating in Netball this season, AND she won a trophy for the Most Improved Player!!! So, for the week end Ben brought home 2 trophies, and Megan brought home 3 trophies and a medal!!!! Wow!!! I certainly have 2 very proud children !!! I am very proud of both my children, but especially Megan. She has ADD (finds it very hard to concentrate and stay focused), and at the start of the year she started on a daily Ritalin tablet. It has helped her sooooooooooooo much, and she is increasing in her confidence. She is having a great both academically and sports wise. She can definitely see the benefits of her medication.

So after being down at the netball courts from 8.45am to 4.30pm in 40 degree heat, I am had it!!!!

I think it is going to be an early night all round!Michael is busy moving into his new ambulance station next door to us. It is a wonderful complex, and so much better than the previous old facility.

New Swap

I am starting up a swap in the Scrap With V forum. Have a read and see what you think.

The stamped image can be any stamp you may have in your stash, for eg journalling spots, flowers, or any stamped image. To enable the recipients to colour the images any way they want, if at all possible, emboss the stamped images you make. This will allow the recipient to colour the image without the risk of the ink running. Also please stamp your images onto white cardstock.

So, you send enough stamped images for everyone participating in the swap, if possible, you emboss your images, you stamp onto white cardstock, and ensure your images fit into a standard sized envelope.

If you are keen to join in, please head over to the Scrap With V forum.

A Full and Fun Week End

There were heaps of laughs, layouts and bingo at the Scrap With V cybercrop this last week end. The challenges were all awesome!!!! The theme was "Girls, Girls, Girls". There is still time to drop by and complete the challenges. Uploading finishes end of the week.

Here are my layouts so far. I just need to complete Lindy's mystery challenge yet.

My daughter Megan is in the school group performing in the schools dance competition at the Gold and Coal Festival being held this week end. They are all practicing hard. I look forward to seeing it. The teacher organising it is a veery clever choreographer and dancer.
Both of my children have put their hand up to go in the Eistedford groups for their school. Both are in the junior choir, and Ben is also doing the junior verse speaking. The competition is in 3 weeks, so practising is starting in earnest. It is so busy going to school these days!!!!!
The new ambulance station being built right next door will be finished in 2 weeks. My hubby and his work colleagues are looking forward to moving in and working from a new station. The official opening is on 10 September, so all the dignitaries will be here for that.
